About

Welcome to Calvary Chapel Grapevine

Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Calvary Chapel Grapevine based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible.  All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
Redemption
Jesus Christ is the foundation and cornerstone of the church.
He came to restore man’s broken relationship with God and His finished work on the cross made that possible.
Because of His love demonstrated on the cross by dying for our sins, we now have the beautiful freedom to fellowship with one another and proclaim salvation through His life, death, and resurrection.
1 Corinthians 3:11 | Ephesians 2:20 | Romans 5:6-10
The Bible
The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and is relevant and applicable to man today. Therefore, we place great emphasis upon teaching based on the precise wording of the bible, dedicating ourselves to personal study, and using it as a guide for our daily lives.
1 Timothy 4:13 | 2 Timothy 3: 16-17 | 1 Thessalonians 2:13
Worship
We believe God is worthy of all praise, reverence and love. We take special time to worship Him in church through song. It is our goal to worship Him with our whole lives and in everything we do!
John 4:23 | Colossians 3:16 | 2 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Christ Centered
Our desire is to know Christ deeply and to be conformed to His image by the freely-given power of the Holy Spirit. We encourage this in our lives by abiding in Jesus Christ through his Word, prayer, and fellowship, and by yielding our whole hearts to the Holy Spirit.
John 15:5 | Romans 8:29 | Ephesians 4:15
Love
Love is the greatest virtue and demonstration of the reality of Jesus Christ. We endeavor to show a Christ-like love toward all. Through God's grace, we're empowered to exhibit love in our lives through our words as well as our actions.
John 13:34-35 | 2 Corinthians 13:13 | Philippians 2:3.5
Serving
Christian Service is a part of a thriving Christian life and is the blessed duty of all believers. Our goal is to develop the ministry of every member to the benefit of all.
Ephesians 4:11-13 | 2 Corinthians 12:4-7

How It All Started...

In 1965, Pastor Chuck Smith began his ministry at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa with just twenty-five people. At a pivotal time in history, Pastor Chuck welcomed all, young and old, without judgment, into the local church. With a sincere concern for the lost, Pastor Chuck and Kay Smith made room in the church and their home for a generation of hippies and surfers, serving in the midst of a powerful movement of the Holy Spirit that spread from the West Coast to the East Coast and throughout the world.

In his ministry, he emphasized the teaching of the Word of God. In the wake of that move of the Holy Spirit, what began as a small local church grew into an international family of over 1700 churches around the world. Pastor Chuck's simple, yet sound, expositional approach to teaching the Bible has helped millions better understand God’s Word.

Pastor Rick and Mercedes Miller have been married and serving in ministry for almost 35 years. God called them in 2004 to plant Calvary Grapevine.
They have a strong heart for hospitality and ministering to Jesus by faithfully caring for those around them, both within and outside the walls of the church.

CHILDREN'S  MINISTRY

BECOMING  WOMEN

Children's Ministry is important to us at Calvary Chapel Grapevine. We teach our children to be empowered by the Spirit, to love worship and encourage them to grow in the knowledge and wisdom of the Word. Our heart is to see children loved with the grace and patience our Father has for us all.

We desire to create a prayerful, loving and godly atmosphere where God is exalted and the Bible is thoroughly taught at age appropriate levels. We hope for children to learn by experience that not only does God's grace save them, but it is also His grace that enables up to live for Him. And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. John 1:16

We offer Sunday school from infant care to junior high classes.

MEN

Our mission as men is to fix our eyes on Jesus and submit to God by the grace of His mercy and love and live by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is our goal to stay under the spout where the grace comes out! To encourage ourselves and each other to receive His strength by fully giving our lives to Him and impact the world with the powerful message of freedom from death.
Bible studies, women's retreats, our annual Christmas Dessert, sister's in Christ and more! Here at Becoming Women's Ministry we strive to do just that, BECOME the women God has called us to be. Please check our Events page for updates on events and opportunities to connect.
